Shared ProjectsGlobalyzer Projects can be Shared. A Shared Project enables team members to work on the same Project seamlessly. Instead of explicitly importing and exporting Projects, Globalyzer manages these tasks automatically. To share a Globalyzer Project, select Project=>Manage Globalyzer Projects, select the Project to share from the list on the left, and then select the Shared checkbox and Save. The Project is then exported to the file project.gproj located in the Project's base path directory. As modifications are made to the Project, the project.gproj file is updated (exported to) automatically by Globalyzer. The project.gproj file can then be checked in to source control (along with other changes made to the source files of the Project). When the project.gproj file is checked out or updated, Globalyzer automatically imports the file to update the Project in your workspace. Conflict Resolution: If you check in the project.gproj file, but there is a source control conflict (someone else beat you to it!) follow these steps to incorporate your changes:
Note: a Shared Project must contain scans that only reference shared Rule Sets; this gives team members access to the same Rule Sets. Another Note: when Globalyzer imports/exports Projects, it does so without Scan Results, so temporary status changes are not kept. If status changes must be preserved, then do not use the Shared Project feature, and instead perform explicit imports/exports with Scan Results.
